Wash your winter woolies faster and easier!

Did you know that it can cost around $60 - $70 to dryclean your Doonas?

With winter definately here now...you can wash your Double, Queen and some King doonas in our big Dexter Maxi front loader.  It holds18 kg.  Just make sure you have room for your hand to fit in on the top of the doona in the bowl and that nothing is hanging out when your close and lock the door.
Takes approx 25 minutes (can be longer if the machine determines there is too much suds in the load and will try to rinse it out)  The great news is that it only costs $14.00 a wash -Cold/Warm/Hot water.  And all our Dexter machines accept - Tap & Go payments, Apple or Android Pay and good old fashioned coins!
Dexter front loaders are known for their quality, reliability, high spin out speeds and gentle washing.

You can also dry your Doonas in our BIG commercial gas Dexter Dryers $1.00 = 8 minutes drying time.  (we still give you 8 minutes for your dollar)  Most Doonas depending on what their filling is, will dry in around 24 - 32 minutes, though sometimes the seams can remain a bit damp.
**We highly recommend that you check the Care Instructions on your Doona label first for washing and drying advice.

We also suggest that you dry them on nothing hotter than Medium heat and open the dryer and check that it is not too hot after 5 minutes.  You can adjust the temperature down if you need to, just close the door, select the Temp button and Press Start button again.

Final Tip on washing Doonas...they require much less detergent/liquid than a normal load. We generally recommend half a cap if you are using our Earth Choice Laundry products.

We hope this helps you stay warm and cuddly.

Meet our Indooroopilly Laundromat Family

Well, it's heading towards nearly 20 years that our Laundromat has been operating in Taringa, Brisbane.  And as most of our regulars know, Geoff is passionate about his Laundromat it's like his baby.  And like the old saying it takes a Village to raise a child....it takes a special little family to raise a happy, friendly, clean Laundromat!

About 14 years ago we connected with a local Katie who lives very close to our laundry.  And Katie started helping us, she would shut the Laundromat, clean it when we were away for a week and pop down in emergencies.  And over all those years, Katie has become a good friend.  Her husband David and son Matthew all joined in to help out at times.  So you will probably have seen Katie.

Earlier in the year to help Katie and us take a bit more time off, we met another fabulous Taringa local Leith.  Leith lives a couple of blocks away and is at Uni doing her 4th year in Journalism.  Leith has the biggest, friendliest smile and was keen to join our little team to help out a few cleaning shifts a week.  Perfect for Leith and perfect for us!  So you will probably have seen Leith.

Then, a few months ago whilst talking to our nephew Hamish, we mentioned that we wanted to go on a holiday and would he be interested in filling in the gaps between Katie and Leith?  Hamish was keen, as he is also at Uni in his first year of Architecture and lives just over the hill a few blocks away at Indooroopilly!  Hamish now helps on weekends, plus looks after other odd maintanence jobs for us.  So you will probably have seen Hamish.

So after 19 years, Geoff can now kick back a bit and let our 'T' Team look after his baby more often.  'T' for Team Terrific!  And as these last few months have shown, our Team Terrific really has got to love and understand our Laundromat!  When we are there, we get so many compliments on 'those lovely young people cleaning your Laundromat'  Fresh faces, big smiles and a great attitude, one regular customer told us!  And now it feels like a family.

Our own happy little Laundromat Family.  So if you visit our Laundromat at Hillsdon Road Shops, another happy little family of it's own....you have probably seen one or all of us!!

Indro Laundro Family as another customer nicknamed us!!

We look forward to probably seeing you at the Laundromat

Thanks to our Customers and Locals!

Our Laundromat just wants to send out a big thank you to all our lovely locals at Taringa, Toowong, Indooroopilly, Chapel Hill, Kenmore, Bellbowrie, Brookfield, Jindalee, Fig Tree Pocket and those who come from further afield around Brisbane!

To our long time regulars, our newbies and all those local businesses who use us and support us.  Thank you!  We love supporting other local businesses at 'Hillsdon Road Centre' and around the burbs, so we want to send out the love to those who keep us in business, nearly 20 years on!  #welovewhatwedo #IndooroopillyLaundromat

Brisbane Storms - we have power and are Open!

What a wild afternoon yesterday was with that fierce storm.  We know that a lot of areas around us received damage and have lost power.  We hope that everyone is okay?

Our little pocket of Taringa did not lose power and we are open and ready for dirty laundry.  If necessary we will stay open later tonight, if people need to wash any storm damaged clothes.

****Remember:  we have power points available to recharge your phones, devices if needed.

Take care everyone

Business of the Month!

Very chuffed to be selected by the Bendigo Bank's Indooroopilly Branch as their 'Business of the Month' for November.

Our little laundromat will have a display inside the Bank for the whole month.  Thanks to Nyree and Steven from the Branch for putting up this gorgeous display and being so supportive of small local business in Brisbane's western suburbs.

We can't say enough about how terrific this local Branch is, they are always supporting great charities, fund raising and helping locals.  Pop on down to have a chat to the lovely team, for all your financial needs and queries.

Or, if your Laundry really is piling up and getting you down....pop on over to us and get it done - washed and dried in around an hour, while you relax and enjoy the FREE WiFi, comfortable modern modular seating, Television, magazines or maybe a great espresso from Abode Cafe.  We really do try to make laundry chores easier.

Remember....'Laundry Today or Naked Tomorrow'
