Brisbane's big wet - TC Marcia

Looks like we are going to have some very wet, heavy rain days as BOM has now predicted Tropical Cyclone Marcia to cross the coast as a Cat 5 cyclone around St Lawerence and then track south inland towards NSW.

This means some very heavy rainfall Friday and Saturday. We will keep an eye on how busy the laundromat gets and if our customers need it, we will leave it open longer to help everyone get their washing done. In the past we have left the Laundromat open 24 hours over intense rain periods and floods.

So.... don't stress, as normal we are open till 9pm every night and open at 6.30am in the mornings.  Our BIG express machines will get your laundry washed in 20 - 23 minutes and with our BIG express dryers you can be gone in around an hour.   We provide FREE Eco Laundry Liquid, Fabric Softener and Pre-wash stain remover.  So just bring the dirty laundry lol. 

Stay safe, don't cross flooded roads and lets cross our fingers for NO flooding!!

Laundry Day can be easy and more enjoyable than you think!

Simply we are just that!  Easy and enjoyable.  We are not a big Laundromat ....we are just a little local business established back in 1996.  To tell our story.  Our little Laundromat was started by Geoff's brother Peter at the suggestion of his Dad Max.  Max was a well known local washing machine repairman.  The boys grew up just a few blocks away in Gladstone Street, Indooroopilly.  Geoff even has memories of coming down to this little heritage Centre with his Mum to the butchers when he was little.  Our Centre has been around since the 1930's.  And we love it!

We have 6 *express* Dexter Front load washers, 3 Top Loaders for single basket washes and 9 BIG fabulous, *express* Dexter dryers (that hold up to 3 baskets of wet laundry)  We have a big stainless steel folding table.  Lots of modern, modular chairs....very comfy for the hour you have to sit while your Laundry is on!  We even have a modern modular bench seat outside for those beautiful summer days.  A ceiling fan, television, magazines, community noticeboard and FREE WiFi!!  Just to make it all 'a little bit easier' we also have a change machine inside that will dispense $1 coins from notes.  Simple!

Our *express* Dexter Front loaders take 20 -23 minutes, spin faster than any other Dexter model to extract more moisture from your clothes.  Saving you time and money in the Dryers.  They are gentle on your laundry, reliable and affordable.  We even provide Australian owned and made ECO Laundry liquid, fabric softener and pre-wash stain remover by 'Earth Choice'

We want people to find the laundromat the way we would like to find a Laundromat if we needed to use one.  And we use ours for our own laundry!  So.....we clean it twice a day, at least!  On busy days we clean it 3 or 4 times.  Our machines are maintained to be clean, fresh and reliable.  Dexter is 'Best of the Best' in the Industry!

Our Laundromat is cleaned twice a day.

Every day at least twice a day we clean our Laundromat at Taringa.  Our aim is to have the cleanest little laundry in Brisbane.  We love our customers to come in and find it clean, sparkly and ready to use.  Mornings and afternoons, every day of the week, we pop in and sweep, dust, wipe, polish and shine.  On busy, rainy days, we come more often just to make sure it's all spotless.  Yep, we LOVE our Laundry!

It also gives us a chance to chat to you, our customers.  We get great tips, compliments and sometimes we find out about the odd hiccup.  So cleaning our Laundromat has many pluses.   Including a perfectly good excuse to pop around the corner and grab a coffee and a treat from Abode Cafe!  lol

Did you know that we are an *Express* Laundromat?  Dexter produces two different types of Front load washers - the *Express* and the Standard Dexter Front loader?  When researching which machines to purchase to upgrade our old top loaders in the Laundromat.  A few vital factors came in to play.  
Here is what we listed as our 'must haves'....
