Tips for washing your Doona's
* Remember all our Dexter machines have PayWave
We recommend that you can wash a Double, Queen or King Doona, King/Queen blankets or thick underlays/mattress protectors in our Dexter Maxi Front load machine $14.00 - 25 mins approx. Or even a queen Doona will fit in our Dexter Triple load. You can fit a Single or 'thin' double/queen in the Double Express Front Load machines.
** Please do NOT try to cram doona's or big bulky blankets, mattress protectors in to the Top Loaders. They will not fit in loosely enough to wash properly and you will sadly end up with a doona full of detergent. :/
It is best if you wash Doona's on there own and not mixed with other clothing or towels. The fillings of Doona's are thick and soak up alot of water. Fit your Doona in so that you can still slide your hand in above the Doona at the top inside. As the doona fills with water it will condense slightly, this will allow a good amount of movement and water coverage. This means that you will get the 'best' cleanest wash. Do not put any more than 1 cap of detergent in with Doona's or blankets - LESS is BEST for heavy items like this. We recommend a WARM Wash setting. As you close the door, check to make sure no material is hanging out to be caught between door and seal.
~Always ....Check your doona instructions as to what temperature to set the wash, and if they can be placed in dryers ~
