Happy Queensland Day!

Photo The Courier Mail 6.6.14
Happy Queensland Day, Queenslanders!!  Don't you just love it?  Our home, beautiful one day, stunning the next.  Well, it certainly seems like that lately.  Our winter weather is just sublime and who can complain about 24 degree June days.

Did you know?  In 1851 the push for separation from New South Wales gained momentum.   Queen Victoria was approached to consider establishing a separate colony based at Moreton Bay. The Queen gave her approval and signed the letters patent on 6 June 1859. On the same day an Order-in-Council gave Queensland its own Constitution and became a self-governing colony with its own Governor.  For more information go to:  Gov House - Qld Day page

What's On!  To help you enjoy the day....

So, whatever you do Queenslanders, on this fine Queensland Day....enjoy it!  Even if it is doing the Laundry lol
