HINT: Check all your pockets to remove items that may leave lint or damage your clothes and machines.
1. Place your clothes loosely in the machines for Top Loaders - Do NOT overload the top loaders or you will get a poor wash.
The Front loaders can hold more and may be packed quite full with more items. Just ensure that no items are hanging out over the door seal.
2. Add wash powder or detergent - 1 cap is enough of our FREE liquid.
**Remember the Front Loaders only need half of the normal amount of powder or detergent! If you put too much detergent in Frontloaders, it could cause a 'oversuds fault shutdown' The best way to resolve this, is to add Fabric Softener immediately in the Soap hole.
3. Select wash/temp cycle.
4. Insert coins.
5. Washes take approx 36 - 38 minutes for Top Loaders and only 20 - 23 minutes for the *express* Front Loaders.
The MAXI Load Front load machine is perfect for Large Doonas, blankets, curtains, quilts or 3 - 4 baskets of washing. It needs 2 caps of detergent.
**NOTE: All rinse cycles use cold water.
6. Fabric softener may be added when light comes on with the Top Loaders. On the Front Loaders Fabric softener is added at the start.
DRYERS
1. Each dryer will hold approx two - three standard baskets worth of clothes. **NOTE: DO NOT place delicate, synthetic, plastic, sharp, metal or satin items in the dryers - as high heat may melt or damage items and the machines. These items should be dried separately on a LOW HEAT. Check pockets for any loose objects, coins, screws etc...these will damage dryers and possibly your clothes.
NOTE: $1.00 = 8 minutes (7 minutes of drying time/1 minute cool down)
2. Insert $1.00 or $2.00 coins SLOWLY, select Temperature, push button for either upper or lower dryer. Then press the green 'START' button. Coins may be added at any time after dryer has started - just press the start button after inserting. For the most efficient drying, it is best to put a full basket load of clothes in one dryer. These are BIG dryers and work most effectively with MORE clothes in them.
All our Dryers accept $1.00 or $2.00 coins. Please do not use silver, damaged or foreign coins as they tend to jam the coin slots and you may loose your money and they damage the mechanisms.
"When selecting a temperature, towels and cotton will be okay on MED or HIGH temp. MED is a good temp to select for mixed loads, use LOW heat for delicates and synthetics"
***NOTE: If door is not closed properly - dryer will not start.
- Finally, Dryers may be opened any time, to check clothes. To re-start, close door and press START again. Temp's may be changed at this time too.
HINT: One dryer with two loads of clothes will take approximately 30 - 40 minutes to dry. This depends on the thickness of the items in the dryer. Towels etc will take longer. It is best to add more coins to the dryers before the last two minutes (cool down time) commences. That way you get the most 'drying time for your $$'
Finally....**PLEASE.. DO NOT LEAVE YOUR CLOTHES UNATTENDED IN THE WASHING MACHINES OR DRYERS**
"We are not responsible for items that may be removed by other customers who are
waiting for machines. Or sadly items that may go missing if machines are left unattended"
It is your responsibility to watch your clothes while in washers and dryers!
